Irene (Strimple) Gramlich
She was born in Kansas. Her mother was a tubercular, and they moved to Colorado in 1913, when Irene was 9. She grew up in Cedaredge, and Delta, Colorado. She suffered a serious spine injury at a young age, and played mostly by herself and read books as a child. Her father was a school teacher, and Irene became a teacher herself in Placerville, Paradox, and Naturita.

Born April 12, 1917 in Glenmora, Lousiana, and died August 22, 2012. Father: Anderson Mack Crowder. Mother: Emma Irene May Crowder. Siblings: Lawrence Crowder, Raymond Crowder, Bertha Louise Crowder (Carver). Attended High School and college in Louisiana, then 3 years of nurses's training in New Orleans. Married Edward Carl Budd.
