Lindth Pinnell Jr.
He was born in Ukiah, California to Lindth Pinnell and Mary E. (Dalton) Pinnell. His father was a World War II veteran. Both parents were from Oklahoma. Lindth Jr. had three younger siblings: one sister, and two brothers. He was raised on his family’s cattle ranch. He attended Ukiah High School. The family moved to Oregon in 1967 and he graduated from Crater High School. He enlisted in the Army Engineers in 1969. He served in the Army Engineers from 1969-1972, maintaining heavy equipment. He attended basic training in Fort Lewis, Washington, and AIT training in Fort Leonardwood, Missouri. He served in Vietnam during the Vietnam War, entering the country at Bien Hoa in 1969 and leaving from the same place in 1970. He returned to the United States via San Francisco. He attended Rogers Community College for 4 years but left without a degree. He moved to Western Colorado in June of 1983. He married twice, once to Ruth Aho, once to Donna Fosberg. Both marriages ended in divorce. He died in Medford, Oregon at the age of sixty-eight. *Photograph from 1969 Crater High School (Oregon) yearbook
