: Margaret Elaine (Beede) Guccini; She was born in Brighton, Colorado to Thomas Wayne Beede and Marguerite Elizabeth (Miller) Beede. Her father was a farmer and her mother was a homemaker. The family moved to the town of Loma in Mesa County sometime between 1930 and 1940. The 1940 US Census shows them farming in Loma when Margaret was twelve years old. She attended a country school near Loma with 28 students. Margaret attended Fruita Union High School. After graduation, she attended the Colorado State College of Agriculture for one year (now Colorado State University), where she was a member of Delta Zeta. She married Louis Frank “Lou” Guccini on January 15, 1947. They had three children. They farmed in Loma. The 1950 US Census shows them living northeast of the intersection of US 50 and Colorado Highway 139. She was a homemaker who, according to her obituary in the Daily Sentinel, prized being a mother. She once won a statewide competition for homemaker of the year (March 23, 2017, p. 5A).
