- She was born in Nebraska on a farm, and moved to Missouri, where she attended school and college. She became a teacher, and taught in a country school in Missouri. She then went to one year of nursing school, and became a practical nurse in Seattle, Los Angeles and Denver, administering to elderly people and children. She died in Fruita, Colorado. She never married.
