Noah Charles Weimer
His wife had tuberculosis, and for her health, he moved with his family from Storm Lake, Iowa to Grand Junction, Colorado around 1903. There, they lived in tents around D Road, and then lived on the site of present day Colorado Mesa University, where the boys slept in a cave and the family in tents before the land was leveled for farming. He and his son, Bunk, assisted in the construction of the first Mesa County Fairgrounds and the Lincoln Park Barn at the site of present day Lincoln Park. He owned a well-boring machine that he used to drill holes into bedrock for building foundations, which he poured for several buildings in town, including the Telephone Building, the Baptist Church on 7th and Grand Avenue, for the Dr. Bull house, and several others.
