Paul Strout
He owned a clothing store on Main Street in Grand Junction, Colorado in the 1950’s under the business name Paul Strout’s Inc. He took part in the town’s Diamond Jubilee celebration of 1957, dressing up like Doc Holiday to have faux gunfights with Robert “Bob” Collins, Hank Post and others. He left town in 1962 and sold men’s clothing as a traveling salesman until at least 1982, with a territory in the Intermountain West. He later wrote vignettes about local history for Grand Junction’s Centennial Celebration in 1982. According to Collins, Strout was a history buff who loved Montana and Wyoming, and who truly thought that he was the reincarnation of one of Custer’s soldiers. His wife Shirley was a school teacher.

Paul Vexler
Paul Vexler has always been interested in mathematics and science; he studied physics in college before turning to sculpture. Without consciously trying to do so, his work has become a blend of art, mathematics, and science. "I like mathematical forms that occur in nature—logarithmic spirals, helices, crystal lattices, polyhedral. Artistically, I rely on my understanding of both natural and man made shapes and forms, yet bring my own aesthetic sense and chosen materials; the result is uniquely mine, but points to my inspirations." Source: Artist's website
