Alysa Fisher Selby
Alysa Selby moved to Steamboat Springs in 1997 and has worked at the Bud Werner Memorial Library since 1998. Reference Librarian (2004-2008); Technical Services/Systems Librarian (2008-2014); Digital Services Librarian (2014-2021); Library Director (2021-Present). In 2015, Alysa served as chair of the Marmot Digital Archive Committee, which created an open-source digital archive for libraries on the Western Slope. In recognition of its impact, the Marmot Digital Archive was honored with the Colorado Library Project of the Year award in 2017 by the Colorado Library Association. This initiative led to the establishment of the Routt County Digital Archive.
Amalia E. "Molly" (Schlegel) Newman
A Mesa County resident who grew up in the Grand Valley. She was part of a community of Germans from Russia that settled in the Fruita area, and spoke as a lecturer during a Mesa County Historical Society meeting about Germans from Russia in November 1983.
