<marmot:placeNotes>The Grand Valley National Bank, organized in part by Fair Store owner William Moyer, was located at the corner of Fifth and Main Streets in downtown Grand Junction, Colorado. The first building, pictured above, stood from 1887-1910 (according to Dave Fishell in his book, The Grand Heritage). The bank later occupied part of what became known as the Dalby Wendland building, which was built in 1910 in the same spot as the old bank building. Samuel E. Winterburn, a carpenter and contractor, added five stories to the bank after its original construction.</marmot:placeNotes>
