It's first location was next to the St. Joseph's Church. According to the website of Holy Family, it was started by Father Thomas Conway and the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, Kansas. The original stone building had classrooms and other amenities spread over three stories. A remodel in 1951 added more classrooms.
