The second station opened in 1906, and was built, according to researcher David Sundal, in the Classical revival style popularized at the World's Columbian Exhibition in Chicago in 1893. According to oral history interviewee Ann (Reese) Stokes, her father Thomas Reese worked on the building’s masonry and added the “fancy masonry work,” with flourishes around the doors and windows. For many years, the building was grimy from steam engine soot. The station still stands, but has been abandoned for many years. yes yes
