<marmot:placeNotes>A long-standing store that is still in existence. In the early Twentieth century it was owned by Monard "Unc" Lawrence, who, according to oral history interviewee Glenn McFall, served as a benefactor to poorer residents in the area. Lawrence purchased the original store from a Miss France and built a new store building with a residence in the back. He and his wife Loda ran the store.

Lawrence's nephew, Loyd Files (who also worked at the store), refers to him as Robert Lawrence. According to Files, Lawrence ran the store for 40 years (at both locations). He would haul salt, grain and other supplies to sheep camps using Little Park Road and Jacob’s Ladder.

In her oral history interview, Lilly (Eachus) Lawson remembered the store being run at some point by a man named Mike Humphrey, and that Humphrey also ran the post office and a picture gallery.</marmot:placeNotes>
