Highpoint School, Mesa County, Colorado 1888 1914 Mesa Colorado USA The Highpoint School was part of the Highpoint School District, and located about four miles north of Fruita in the late Nineteenth and early Twentieth centuries. It was a red, one room school house, built around 1888, and had a large bell. It held grades 1-8. It also held Sunday school classes for the Congregational Church of Fruita and the Fruita United Methodist Church. The school was closed in 1913 or 1914, after it became part of the Fruita School District. After its closure, it held meetings of the Highpoint Rural Life Club. yes yes
