Glade Park Store (first location), Glade Park, Colorado 1910 Glade Park Mesa Colorado 81523 USA According to oral history interviewee James Brouse, the store was located in a small log building on the south side of the road in the 1910’s, across the street and just west from the current store. Eva (Wood) Leslie described the same building as a tar paper shack. The store was operated by a woman named [Teresa?] France, who also served as the area’s postmaster. When purchased by Robert Lawrence, he operated the store in the same building, and later built the store in its present location. The old Glade Park Store building was later used as a church. According to Lawrence's nephew, Loyd Files (who also worked at the store), Lawrence ran the store for 40 years (at both locations). He would haul salt, grain and other supplies to sheep camps using Little Park Road and Jacob’s Ladder. yes yes Glade Park Post Office
