Palisade School (third location), Palisade, Colorado 1910 8th Street and Peach Avenue Palisade Mesa Colorado USA Although the second Palisade School had been completed just ten years prior, a third school was built to accommodate population growth in the area. An election in 1909 allowed for the issuance of bonds for the construction of the school in 1910. Children were moved from the prior location at 4th Street and Kluge. The new school educated children of all grades until 1925, when high school students began attending the new Palisade High School. The school was administered by Palisade School District 19, which formed in 1893. The school taught elementary age school children until Palisade Elementary School (now Taylor Elementary School) was built in 1957. It continued use as a junior high school until an annex was added to the high school building in 1969. The school also housed Mesa County School District 51's Migrant School from 1957 to 1962.
