<marmot:placeNotes>Originally the Glade Park School, now the Glade Park Community Center. It was named the Pipeline School for the Fruita pipeline that ran from Pinon Mesa to Fruita through Glade Park.

Cordelia (Hamilton) Files taught there in 1923 and recalls that the school was fairly new. It had two rooms with a wood and coal burning stove in each. The school taught grades 1-8 and had about 80 students. Most of the children she taught came from families of dry land farmers.

The school hosted school dances on weekend nights. At the end of the school day on Friday, students moved their desks against the wall, then moved them back on Monday morning.

The school had a small, one-room teacherage on the property where a teacher could live. Teachers there included Ella Simmons for the upper grades in the 1920’s.</marmot:placeNotes>
