Ryan's Clothing Store, Grand Junction, Colorado USA A clothing store located near the First National Bank on Main Street. The proprietor, Ryan, once had an ongoing scam whereby he took saleable sizes of house slippers from Sampliner’s and the Red Trunk to sell, and put small and larger sizes of slipper, which were more difficult to sell, back in the boxes before returning them to the unwitting clothing stores. The other clothing stores took a year or more to catch on, but after they did, they never let Ryan get away with another trick. The store closed sometime around 1925. yes yes
