It was administered by Georgia Mesa School District 30, which formed in 1895. According to oral history interviewee Sara Kruh, it was a one room schoolhouse. Before the opening of the school, children were taught in local homes. The school lacked many textbooks, and so children were often forced to study the same material more than once. The school had outdoor toilets, and one bucket with drinking water that everyone drank from. According to Anna (Barker) Foster, whose daughter taught at the school, it was also known as the Bull Creek School. yes yes Bull Creek School
