Medical Center, Grand Junction, Colorado According to oral history interviewee Glen McFall, a CCC labor camp was located in the current location of the Veterans Administration Hospital during the Depression. In his oral history interview, Colonel Forrest Carhartt states that he was the commanding officer that brought the CCC camp to Lincoln Park in 1936. The camp was dismantled in the 1940's to make way for the hospital and the buildings were sold off. Loyd Files, who had purchased the land adjacent to the camp on the east, purchased two of the buildings. He placed them on his land and rented them to a restaurant owner. yes yes
