Pride School, Mesa County, Colorado 1891 1951 Between Highway 50 and Kannah Creek Kannah Creek Mesa Colorado USA The Pride School was located between what is now US Highway 50 and Kannah Creek Road. It was founded in 1891, with Maude Slocum as teacher. The school was governed by Pride School District 11, which also managed the Summit and Gateway Schools in Unaweep Canyon. A frame school building had been built by 1900, and subsequent buildings were added in 1908 and 1925.
