<marmot:placeNotes>A home at 929 Main Street built in 1896 by a Mr. Todd, who, according to researcher David Sundal, owned a lumber dealership that later became Mesa Lumber. He was a socialist and served for a time as the mayor of Grand Junction. According to Sundal, the home is unusual for its windows, which he described as "geometric," while most of the windows in Victorian homes from that time are curvilinear. Its entrance hall was done in oak.</marmot:placeNotes>
