<marmot:placeNotes>According to Mesa County Oral History Project interviewee Oscar Jaynes, the Clifton Odd Fellows Hall was constructed by Frank Pond in 1910. The Mesa County Assessor's office lists the construction date as 1908. In 1968, it became the new location of the Clifton Library, after the Clifton Lions Club donated time, money and labor to refurbish the building. It has housed restaurants and bars over the years, including the Sunflower Restaurant during the 1980's, and the Triple Tree Tavern currently.</marmot:placeNotes>
