According to the oral history of Ann (Reese) Stokes, who went to the theater as a teenager, it was probably in operation by at least 1913, and most probably named for Elberta peaches. Stokes says that future doctor Leo Lloyd sang during the intermissions. In the days of silent pictures, a Mrs. Roberts played the piano as accompaniment to the movies. yes yes
