Fire Station (second location), Grand Junction, Colorado 1960 6th Street and Colorado Avenue Grand Junction Mesa Colorado 81501 USA According to former Fire Chief Frank Kreps, the fire station was located on the southeast corner of 6th Street and Colorado Avenue in the 1930’s. This would have followed the combined police and fire station that was located on 5th Street and Colorado Avenue at an earlier time. The company at the station had two fire trucks. Three men worked on each shift. It operated until around 1960, when a newer station was built at 6th Street between Ute Avenue and Pitkin Avenue. One wall from the station was left standing and incorporated into new structures after the building was torn down. yes yes
