Loma Community Hall, Loma, Colorado [1940] Loma Mesa Colorado USA place:2924 Enterprise School, Loma, Colorado The Loma Community Hall was built sometime in the mid-Twentieth century. According to Loma resident Marguerite Beede, a community council was formed to care for the building, with dances held every Saturday night to pay expenses. The VFW also helped sponsor the building. Beede remembers that Mesa County Valley School District 51 also cared for the building for a time (the Loma Community Hall and the Enterprise Community Hall, which formed in the old Enterprise School, may be one and the same). Hot lunches were served to school children there when the hot lunch program outgrew the old coal room that had been used for a kitchen in Loma Elementary School. yes yes
