Loyd Files Park, Grand Junction, Colorado 1974 518 28 3/4 Road Grand Junction Mesa Colorado 81501 USA The present Loyd Files Park was established in 1974 by the Files family. According to Cordelia (Hamilton) Files, the Grand Mesa Little League began in 1963, when the Files family donated land behind the Armory on 28 Road (near North Avenue on the south side) so that local children could play baseball. These were children who had played baseball in the field east of the Lincoln Park golf course, and who were displaced by the development of the the Mesa Gardens subdivision there. Eventually, the Files family donated what had been a horse pasture at 28 3/4 Road to the league for a new home. yes yes
