Fruita Middle School, Fruita, Colorado 1955 239 North Maple Street Fruita Mesa Colorado 81521 USA Fruita Junior High School was built next to the second Fruita Union High School in 1955. The brick building stood to the north of the high school and taught 7th and 8th graders, who had gone to school at Fruita Elementary School prior to that time. In 1969, with the opening of a new high school building, the school district connected the high school and junior high school buildings, with the whole thing becoming Fruita Junior High School. In 1987, it became Fruita Middle School and taught grades 6 through 8.
