The US City Directory shows that it was open by at least 1912, and perhaps earlier. It was evidently still open in the mid-1920’s, as Edward Schultz states in his oral history interview that he worked at the store upon coming to Colorado around 1927. Cox also owned other dry goods stores in Fruita at different times. yes yes
