Howard Shults had the garbage contract from 1936 to 1938. Unused produce would be fed to livestock animals instead of going into the dump. Sometimes, neighborhood youth would also take produce that was still good. Shults sold the garbage contract to a man name Walt Clough. It is unknown if the dump on South Avenue coexisted with dumps in the Riverside Neighborhood and the dump west of the intersection of 1st Street and Grand Avenue. yes yes
