EagleVail Vail Region (Colo.) -- History Eagle Vail circa 1963 USA EagleVail, which is also known as Eagle-Vail, is a metropolitan district west of Dowd Junction (confluence of Gore Creek and Eagle River) in Eagle County, Colorado. The community pays property tax to the Town of Avon and most of the legal documents have the hyphenated version of the name. Steve Barber, who is the District Manager for the Community of EagleVail, noted that the community rebranded as EagleVail in 2011.
