Petra Hartmann, who is a US Postal Service mail carrier in the Town of Vail, won her 50 - 59 age group for the Leadville Trail 100: Race Across the Sky on 17 August 2024. The 100-mile running race begins and ends in the community of Leadville, Lake County, Colorado at an elevation of 10,152 feet. Course low point in his grueling 100-mile running race is 9300 feet at Twin Lakes; course high point is Hope Pass at nearly 12,600 feet.
